We stayed here for a number of weeks and were very sad when we had
to leave. Absolutely nothing negative to say about this place, I
just wish that there were more holiday homes that were this
perfect. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and spacious. The
owners are friendly and very welcoming and provide plenty of
information about places to visit if you are not familiar with the
area. If you are looking for peace and quiet with beautiful views
then look no further. I would seriously recommend to anyone.

We stayed in The Stables self catering accommodation at Castle
House Farm for a week over New Year. We were delighted with the
unexpected generous space, decorations, comfortable beds, and
warmth which made up for a rather wet week! We had a good
Christmassy welcome, with lovely shortbread, Huddersfield calendar
and personal bookmark, and milk in the fridge. Philip and Anne
went out of their way to help us on occasions, and the
availability of milk and eggs was much appreciated. The kitchen
had begun a refurbishment on the day we left, and will make up for
a slight lack of cupboard space - we look forward to seeing the
result on our next visit. So a big thank you to Philip and Anne
and good wishes for 2016.

cottage was by far the most comfortable cottage we have stayed in

We have stayed with Phillip and Anne on 3 occasions over the last 3 years.
Family of 2 adults and 2 young children. Every time we have stayed we have
been impressed by the welcome and the way in which they have gone the extra
mile to make our stay special. Castle Farm Cottages are a home from home.
Peaceful retreat in the heart of West Yorkshire.
I would recommend staying at anytime of the year, you will not regret it.

Mistal cottage is in excellent condition with everything you need for a Yorkshire
environment. Good heating system and well equipped. Individual parking and
friendly proprietors.
Will visit again and enjoy the extensive views and many walks.

Can't think how it's taken this long to say how much we
enjoyed "living" with you for nearly 3 months in The Laithe after
selling our house and then travelling round the world to Australia.
We even enjoyed our return to Blightly knowing we were coming back to
somewhere we knew and felt so comfortable. The Laithe really was the
most wonderful place to live for 3 month, we were so warm and
comfortable and anytime family in Huddersfield can't accommodate us
for any length of time, you will be our first port of call. To anyone
looking for somewhere to stay for that "few weeks to a few month" -
This is the place to be.
With our very best wishes, now happily ensconced,
building extended and living in deepest rural Lincolnshire.

I have just spent a lovely week at Laithe Cottage. This was my 3rd
visit to Castle House Farm Cottages and I have now stayed in each
cottage. As always my visit was lovely. It’s a real home from home,
beautifully clean, welcoming and cosy. A haven from my normal city
life. It is lovely to just relax and to be able to just walk out into
the nearby fields… oh and to be given a morning welcome from your little
dog and cat. I look forward to another visit very soon. Best Wishes.

We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful cottage with plenty of space. Should
I be fortunate enough to persuade either Chris or Barrie to return to
Huddersfield we will certainly stay in your cottage, assuming it is vacant
at the time. For me it was a wonderful experience to go back after so
many years in Plymouth, and visit my childhood home, my marital home,
and the cemetery where my parents and younger Brother rest.

This accommodation really did what it says on the packet .... and more. I
stayed in the Stable cottage which was so clean it sparkled. The
fixtures, fittings and furnishings were all of a really high quality and
this really was a home from home.
The setting was peaceful and had fabulous rural views.
I spent a week at Stable Cottage with my parents who are both
pensioners who have mobility problems. They found it easily accessible as
we could park nearby, also the layout of the cottage meant it was easy for
them to get around. There are also grab-rails in the bathroom. The
setting worked well for all of us as I was able to go for my morning run
in the nearby fields and they could watch me from the comfort of their
armchairs : )
I have recommended Castle house farm cottages to my friends and I
will certainly be making a return visit.

A lovely spot. Immaculate inside and located in glorious country yet not
too far from the shops. We have fallen in love with the place. My dog has
fallen in love with Bob.
